In
learning process, teaching cannot be separated from it. Although we prepare the
lesson plan, the fact or the reality that we found in the classroom sometime is
different with the lesson plan. We should have the strategy for managing the
class.
First of all, in warming up process, teachers have
to lead in the knowledge of the students by showing attractive material, such
as, video, pictures, etc.
Second of all, In learning process, teachers have to
give the attractive activity, for example: shopping idea activity. In this
process, students have to see the other students’ projects that have been
hanged in the wall, so the students move on from one project to the other project.
Commonly, this is the group project. So, avoid monotone activity that makes
students not interested in learning process. Sometimes, seating arrangement is
needed for the variation of learning process.
Third, use technology in teaching. Technology have
several benefits for the teacher, not only for supporting and helping the
teacher in learning process, but also technology can make students to engage in
learning process. Most of the students feel interested if teaching by using technology.
Many technologies can be used by the teacher for teaching including
applications and software; schoology, edmodo, online learning, and the other.
It’s very useful for the teacher in learning process.
The last but not least is managing the class.
Sometimes we find the condition where the students do not enthusiasm in learning
process. Don’t push them into the material in learning process. Teacher can
make the ice breaker for the students. After the students feel enthusiasm,
teacher can continue the material.
