Tutorial and Example of JCloze-Hot Potatoes

JCloze

 

1. Open Hot Potatoes program, Click JCloze

2. In Title column, write your title of your exercise, for example “Holiday-Fill in the blank

3. Write the sentence and block one word that you want to set it as an empty word.

4. Click “Gap” in the bottom of the side.

5. Write the clue to guide your students answer the word that you have chosen it, after it click OK. The empty word will become red color. Write the sentence again and do it in same way.

6. after it, Save your exercise by clicking File-Save as. Make new folder.

7. Save again by click the icon beside an arrow on the top of side to save Jcloze as html form. Save the name of html is same as name of your file before. 

8. Click “View the exercise in my browser”

10. This your Jcloze exercise will be like this.

11. To set the background color, you can set in by clicking this icon

12. Choose appearance to change the background color. You can also set the time by choosing time and set the time to finish the exercise.
